passive real estate investor
A person or entity that invests their funds into a property in exchange for a potential profit without the burden of making daily management decisions. A passive investment with Source Legacy is hassle free and convenient. There are investments that are open to Accredited and Sophisticated investors, and there are others that are exclusively offered to Accredited investors.
accredited
An individual who has earned income that exceeded $200,000 (or $300,000 together with a spouse) in each of the prior two years and reasonably expects the same for the current year, or, has a net worth over $1 million, either alone or together with a spouse (excluding the value of the person’s primary residence).
accredited (per SEC)
The SEC requires that these investors, “have enough knowledge and experience in business matters to evaluate the risks and merits of an investment,” according to Market Watch.
sophisticated
A person that does not meet accredited investor requirements; however, has knowledge and experience in financing and business matters and is capable of evaluating the merits and risks of the proposed investment.
